InfringementControl
Design system v1.0 / Route C, Desktop 97

The Infringement Control design system.

One visual language for the art and the interface. A window is a card, a file-transfer bar is case status, the taskbar is navigation, and the cast shows who we work for.

03 Illustration

How the art is drawn

All art is vector, generated from one construction system (src/), so every character is the same person in every scene and any piece can be re-exported at any size.

line.rule

Line weight

Contour 3.5 units at character scale 1, detail 2.4. Props use the same 3.5. At display size this lands between 2 and 4 px. Round caps and joins everywhere.

shape.rule

Shape language

Soft-cornered rectangles (windows, screens, cards) against round heads and hair. Objects are silhouette-first: you can name them in solid ink.

face.rule

Faces

Head 80 x 100, egg-shaped. Eyes on the midline, 30 apart, with one catch-light. One ink hook for the nose. Blush at 28% tangerine. Ears at eye height.

body.rule

Proportions

5.4 heads standing. Head scaled 1.1 on the body for warmth. Arms are tubes with a sleeve colour and a 3.5 ink edge. Busts crop at the waist behind a frame or desk.

light.rule

Shadow and highlight

Hard ink offset shadow, 6 to 10 px, down-right, on anything that sits on the page. Highlights are a single cream arc on glass, screens and lenses. No soft shading.

grain.rule

Print grain

Fractal-noise specks at about 15% alpha, clipped inside shapes. Halftone dots only on backdrops, floors and card art panels. Never more than 12% visual weight behind text.

The six characters side by side.
The cast: Theo (content manager), Rosa (photographer), Vee (creator), Sam (our analyst), Dele (brand owner), Aisha (studio lead). Full sheets with expressions and poses are in characters/.
Character sheet for Vee showing her palette, eight expressions and six poses.
Sheet example. Every character has one.
do.txt
  • Show one story moment per scene
  • Use abstract glyph windows for platforms
  • Put the person in the scene, doing something
  • Keep editable copy in HTML
dont.txt
  • Shields, padlocks-as-answer, hooded hackers, matrix code
  • Badges, gavels, handcuffs, courtrooms
  • Real logos, real people, known characters
  • Words baked into raster art

layers.cfg

Panel layering

1 page field and texture, 2 backdrop window, 3 content windows, 4 characters, 5 stickers and bursts, 6 cursor. Only one window per scene gets the largest shadow.

restraint.cfg

Restraint

Windows for heroes, services, process and case status. Plain paper sections in between. Max two stickers per viewport. Big type does the talking.

reduced_motion.cfg

Reduced motion

With prefers-reduced-motion: reduce, every animation and transition drops to 1 ms, content is visible without a reveal, float, wiggle and blink stop, and hover lifts are removed. Nothing depends on motion to make sense.

mobile.cfg

Mobile

No ambient float under 720 px. Tap targets 44 px minimum (buttons 48 to 52). Hero art swaps to purpose-made mobile compositions. Cards stack; the process route turns vertical with markers on a rail.

09 Open content questions

What I didn't invent

Nothing below is claimed on the pages. Each one is flagged in place (use the Content questions button bottom right).

  1. "Real people on email": confirm cases are handled by people and the address is monitored.
  2. Do you also handle YouTube Content ID or other video-platform claims? If so, it becomes a seventh card. An icon is ready (video-claims).
  3. What exactly does Evidence lock involve? Screenshots, page archives, timestamps? The wording here is a best reading of the site.
  4. How and how often do clients hear back? Email per update, a summary, a portal?
  5. Do clients get per-link status like this? If not, this section becomes an explainer of what happens to each link. Day labels are illustrative.
  6. Can you state a real first-review time for urgent cases (for example, within 24 hours)? It would replace the word Urgent.
  7. Testimonials: none on the current site, so none are shown. The slot below appears once you supply real, approved quotes. See the style guide for the layout.
  8. Is there a price range to publish for URL clusters and urgent leak cases?
  9. Please confirm you are comfortable with this wording.
  10. Confirm this matches how you describe the business.
  11. Confirm the reply you send after review (timing and what it contains). The nav's Call button became Email because no phone number is published.
  12. What does a client need to send to prove an impersonation? ID is often required by platforms. Worth stating here.
  13. Do you search for additional copies, or only act on links the client sends? If you search, that's a monitoring service and gets its own section (art brief is ready).
  14. Confirm whether links can be added to an open case.
  15. Please check these lists against what you actually ask clients for.
  16. Confirm agencies and resellers can bring cases on behalf of clients.
  17. Ongoing monitoring is not on the current site, so it has no finished art. A generation brief is ready in prompts/ if you add it.
  18. The current hero shows a 76% exposure score and case IC-TAKEDOWN-1047. The new design uses IC-EXAMPLE-0001, labelled as an example.
